The TESTO 885-2 is a thermal imager (320 x 240 FPA). The TESTO 885-2 is a feature rich thermal imaging infrared camera that can be used in a variety of thermography applications. With optional 11° telephoto lens and lens protector, it is an ideal solution for wide angle and narrow field thermography needs. Industrial, commercial and research applications are demanding work environments for any thermal imager. The 885-2 uses a rotating touch screen and swivel grip that can be vital for capturing proper images. The high sensitivity 30mK and 320 x 240 resolutions make this imager extremely versatile in any inspection or research application. The 885-2 deluxe kit includes 11° telephoto lens, bridging the distance making objects much easier to view. With the use of the site recognition barcode and database solution, ensuring that images are properly stored in the correct location has never been easier. Testo 885-2 Thermal Imaging Camera Offers

You can carry out damage-free tests on materials and components with the Testo 885-2 Thermal Imager. Thanks to the 320 x 240-pixel detector, in combination with the high-quality Germanium optics, the Testo 885-2 achieves excellent image quality. This allows weak spots and problems to be reliably detected in industrial and building thermography. In combination with the Testo SuperResolution technology, it records high-resolution thermal images in excellent quality (640 x 480 pixels).

The patent-pending SuperResolution technology improves the thermal image quality of your Testo imagers with the included software upgrade. With SuperResolution, images have a higher resolution, and are therefore more detailed.

The important thing is that SuperResolution technology always records genuine temperature measuring values. There are no artificial intermediate values projected! This means that this technology offers the possibility of recording more temperature measuring values without using larger, more expensive detectors.

In building thermography, SuperResolution technology is ideally suited to fast and effective detection of building damage. Energy losses in buildings’ heating or air conditioning systems can also be analyzed with the help of the high-resolution thermal images. The high level of detail in the image makes inadequate insulation, resulting heat losses or construction defects clearly visible. Leakages can also be displayed precisely in the thermal image using SuperResolution technology. 

SuperResolution technology also plays an important role in industrial maintenance – above all in the detailed early detection of imminent damage in production-related plant components. In the case of mechanical components too, thermal irregularities (e.g. due to friction or incorrect adjustment) can indicate an elevated level of stress. In the field of research and development, the geometric resolution of the thermal image is of great significance. This is improved by a factor of 1.6 by SuperResolution technology. This means that even smaller objects can be recorded, which enables the measurement of the smallest possible structures.
